Why I Came Out Came of the Woodwork

I recently came out of the woodwork. Why? Because an affront to the gospel, dubbed by those of us who oppose it, “the crossless gospel,” has arisen from the deep abyss of heresy.

This “novel” gospel is being touted and pushed by the Grace Evangelical Society. The Grace Evangelical Society (GES) was born out of the affront to the Gospel of Grace, by Lordship Salvation (LS) proponents, who were lead by John MacArthur. Needless to say, they were initially a welcome addition to the world of Christian organizations. Many hearts resonated with a desire for a united voice against the LS deviation. With time, though not that much, GES has swerved from the path, following the false assumptions of Zane Hodges, on the minimums of the Gospel message. He has basically equated the invitation to believe, with the Gospel message itself.

This error has lead to an erosion, of great proportions, in the historical Gospel message to be preached to the lost, and has precipitated a cascade of doctrinal redefinitions. I oppose this false crossless and deityless gospel with all my being. It is as erroneous on the left as Lordship Salvation is on the right.

Why do I oppose it? Because, as with all heresies, at first glance it sounds like truth, and therefore many unsuspecting pastors, churches and individuals fall prey to its allure.
